Brief Description of the organization:

The USHCC actively promotes the economic growth, development and interests of more than 4.2 million Hispanic-owned businesses that, combined, contribute over $668 billion to the American economy every year. It also advocates on behalf of 260 major American corporations and serves as the umbrella organization for more than 200 local chambers and business associations nationwide.

Brief Description of the Intern’s role or key qualifications:

As a Communications and Marketing Intern, you will work to address a broad range of issues that affect America’s small business community. On a day to day basis, interns could be asked to draft press releases, conduct research for op-eds and talking points, maintain the USHCC website, strengthen social media presence, and assist in communications and marketing around the 2017 National Convention. 2017 USHCC National Convention is the largest gathering of Hispanic Businesses in America! It offers business matchmaking opportunities, professional development sessions and workshops on supplier diversity and business procurement. Each year, our convention serves as a premier networking venue, bringing together corporate executives, public officials, chamber leaders and entrepreneurs seeking to establish strategic, long-lasting partnerships with America's Hispanic business community. Taking Place October 1-3, 2017 in Dallas, TX. Applicants should have prior communications or marketing internship experience, the ability to multi-task and work at a quick pace, possess strong writing skills and a passion for the USHCC’s mission.
