Dr. Daniel Schroeder is a Research Scientist and Manager of the Policy Research Shop at the Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy and the Social Sciences.  He has been doing quantitative public policy research in Texas for more than 20 years, and he continues to work part time as a Research Scientist at the Ray Marshall Center for the Study of Human Resources (RMC) at the University of Texas at Austin while he works to establish a similar research program at Dartmouth.  In the Research Scientist role he is primarily responsible for evaluating the impacts of government programs in the human services area, including child support, unemployment insurance, workforce development and human capital, child care subsidy policy and market, and supplemental nutritional assistance, among others. Dr. Schroeder received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin, with a major in Social Psychology and a minor concentration in Statistics.
